Companies using the Basic plan can only sell and buy for 85,000 British sterling pounds per year. Both sales and purchases that your company makes count towards the turnover limit. For transactions in other currencies, the equivalent amount in sterling pound counts towards the limit. If you exceed the limit on sales and purchases of the Basic plan, you will automatically be upgraded to the Professional plan and will have to pay the fee difference between both plans for the whole year.
Your own Value Added Tax (VAT) number to display on your invoices to look more professional. Some providers or clients may also be more comfortable dealing with a VAT-registered business. The lack of VAT number on the Basic plan does not affect its compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
With a Professional or Enterprise plan, we can find a credit card processor for your business. You can choose between a provider that offers online payment and a provider that processes payments over the phone (when you take your customer's credit card numbers over a phone call). If we open one of your company's payment accounts with a provider which offers credit card transactions processing and that service is enabled for your company, we will consider that your company has credit card processing.
With an Enterprise plan, you will have a backup provider for processing credit card transactions. That way if an issue occurs with the first payment provider, you will have a backup provider ready to go. Please note that the backup credit card processor can only offer online payments, not credit card processing over the phone.
The Enterprise plan allows you to send us a spreadsheet with transactions from an accounting software or online marketplace. You will still have access to our accounting application if you want to use to issue invoices or record some of your transactions separately. If you don't like spreadsheets, you can also choose to directly send us invoices as long as they contain all of the required information. If you send us a significant number of invoices, we may need to charge an extra fee in order to account for the work required to enter the invoice details in our computer system.
With a Basic or Professional plan, you will have to record all of your transactions using our accounting application.
With a Basic or Professional plan, any postal mail you receive at the company's registered address in the UK from Companies House (the company registrar) or HMRC (the British revenue service) will be scanned and emailed to you.
With an Enterprise plan, you can also receive letters and small parcels from anyone. The letters can be scanned and emailed to you or forwarded using the postal service. You can also get letters from Companies House or HMRC forwarded instead of, or in addition to, being scanned. 50 sterling pounds of postal fees are included each year to pay for forwarding letters and parcels. Any additional shipment will be charged separately.
